Co-chaired by Prof. S am Zhang\, President of the Thin Film Society\, and Prof. Wuu Dong-Sing\, President of NCNU\, the event featured presentations from 15 scholars and researchers from China Mainland\, South Korea\, Singapore\, and Taiwan. Pa rticipants showcased their latest advancements in thin film and coating te chnologies\, interdisciplinary research\, and novel material development. Representatives from ten local universities of Taiwan region also attended .\n\nDuring the workshop\, preparations for the upcoming international con ference the ThinFilms2026 – scheduled for July next year in Singapore – were discussed. Prof. Sam Zhang\, Chair of the conference\, warmly inv ited all attendees to reunite in Singapore for the event.\n\nBeyond its ac ademic value\, the Nantou workshop provided a valuable platform for schola rs from Taiwan\, South Korea\, and Singapore to exchange ideas while pavin g the way for promoting ThinFilms2026 in Taiwan. It also served as a great networking opportunity\, allowing old friends from different regions to r econnect in a warmly atmosphere.\n\nThe next stop for the TFS Workshop ser ies will be held in Kunming\, China.
