Chaired by Dr Liu Shiyu\, General Secretary of the Thin Film Soc iety. The event featured presentations from 10 scholars and researchers fr om China Mainland\, South Korea and Singapore. Participants showcased thei r latest advancements in thin film and coating technologies\, interdiscipl inary research\, and novel material development.\n\nDuring the workshop\, preparations for the upcoming international conference the ThinFilms2026 – scheduled for July next year in Singapore – were discussed. Prof. Sa m Zhang\, Chair of the conference ThinFilms2026\, warmly invited all atten dees to reunite in Singapore for the event.\n\nBeyond its academic value\, the Kunming workshop provided a valuable platform for scholars from diffe rent regions of China to exchange ideas while paving the way for promoting ThinFilms2026 in China. It also served as a great networking opportunity\ , allowing old friends from different regions to reconnect in a warmly atm osphere.\n\nThe next stop for the TFS Workshop series will be held in Jeju \, Korea.
